Thanks for looking up Woodside Fostercare. We are based in Stroud in Gloucestershire and have earned a reputation for therapeutic foster care, based on the good outcomes we have achieved with the hundred and ten children and young people who have lived in our foster families since we began our work in 1999. We have a team of highly professional social workers, along with several child psychotherapists, a play therapist, family therapist, educationalists and counsellors who work with our children and young people to help them rewrite the narrative of their lives.

Most recently, we have joined with two other organisations to enhance the effectiveness of what we do in the realm of therapeutic caring. We remain based in Stroud, with our own particular community of carers that we hope to develop further in Goucestershire and Oxfordshire. However, we plan to take the model we have developed and make it more widely available across the south and south-west of England.

Our new name – and that of our extended family – is Capstone Foster Care.
