Childcare
Quality child care for the often vulnerable young people placed with us is central to Woodside's operation.
Our philosophy of care is based on the belief that each young person is an individual with his or her own particular talents, needs and feelings. Whatever the length of placement, we aim to work with the positives to build confidence in exploring any presenting negative issues. We seek to ensure that every child or young person receives a high standard of care and consistency of approach. Key areas of our work include:
Careful initial matching Liaising between all professionals involved to ensure a 'joined up service' An ability to offer individual care packages and respond quickly to changing needs A comprehensive children's pack Respite and comprehensive support to carers Regular activities Integration in local schools and community resources Preparing young people for their move from the care system into independence A broad range of therapies to assist in the child's development Strong links with other organisations to support our work Advocating for young people and ensuring they are heard
